Flooding across Howard County following significant rains on June 25th and 26th had been a subject of much discussion during the Howard County Board of Commissioners’ first July regular meeting last week, including during flood updates from both Highway Superintendent Janet Thomsen and Emergency Manager Allen Wilshusen.

State patrol makes DUI arrests over holiday

Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol removed thirty-two impaired drivers from the road over the Independence Day weekend. “The weekend included celebrations across the state and many people who made the wise decision to avoid driving impaired,” said Colonel Bryan Waugh, superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol.
