Jerry Steenson of Rockester Hills, Michigan and Gail Seaton of Omaha were guests at the Larry Steenson family home this week. The two were in town to work at the Junk Jaunt at the Wolbach Community Center this weekend.

Commander Luke Thompson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Jan Steenson read the invocation and the POW/MIA empty chair ceremony was presented by Commander Thompson. Following the Pledge of Allegiance, the national anthem was sung and the Preamble was recited.
St. Paul city leaders took the next step in an effort to seek funds from the United States Army Corps of Engineers to study the impacts of erosion along the Middle Loup River south of St. Paul last week.

As of Sunday evening, the South Loup River had a reading of 226 cubic-feet-per-second (cfs). The Middle Loup River at St. Paul’s reading is 1,330 cfs. The North Loup River’s graph is currently reading 1,430 cfs. With more rain predicted Monday night and Tuesday, it will be up more.
The St. Paul Country Quilters met on Monday, September 15th at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Parish Life Center. Seven members were present. The minutes from the August 18th meeting and the treasurer’s report was given.
