The South and Middle Loup Rivers have dropped all week, where the North Loup River is up and down a bit. The South Loup River is at 194 cubic-feet-per second (cfs), compared to 250 cfs last Sunday.

Boelus is “Still Alive in ‘25.” The Howard County community is celebrating 140 years at Boelus Days this Saturday, August 9th. Festivities start at 8:00 a.m.
On July 28th, the Howard Greeley Food Pantry’s semimonthly produce box distribution program came to an end. Originally instated during the COVID-19 pandemic as a weekly dairy, meat, and produce giveaway, the breadth of the program gradually reduced over the last fiveand- a-half years.
A Rockville-area resident took home both first and third place in the 2025 Lower Loup Natural Resources District (LLNRD) Photo Contest. The district announced the winners in late July.
