Mel and Joyce Grim, longtime Dannebrog residents, were named king and queen of this year’s Grundlovsfest in Dannebrog. The twoday event was held on Saturday and Sunday, June 1st and 2nd. The couple rode in Saturday morning’s parade. They operate Mom and Pop’s Kettle Korn, which has been a tradition at Grundlovsfest for many years.

Taken from the files of The Wolbach Messenger Spring Creek was bank-full for eighteen - to twenty hours late last week, due to heavy rainfall in the watershed area. The three rains recorded saw various reports as to amount, but all totaled two-to-three inches in the middle of the county.

Senior citizens hold meeting

The Wolbach Senior Citizens met on May 31st, with sixteen guests. They had four tables of pitch playing, with high winner, Linda Fuller; low winner, Arlene Meyer; and traveling winner, Kathryn Dubas. Prizes were provided by an anonymous donor. The club’s next meeting will be on June 28th at the Wolbach Community Center at 2:00 p.m.
