Karrie Sestak, O.D., of St. Paul, was among 133 students recently awarded the Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Sestak graduated summa cum laude and was named a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, an honor awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement. She also earned the Johnson & Johnson/ American Optometric Foundation Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care, which comes with a $500 monetary award and plaque, for outstanding clinical care in contact lens.

The American Legion family met on June 20th at the Legion. Present at the meeting were six Legion, two sons, and seven auxiliary members.
