Body A new year of fun and learning kicked off at Christ Lutheran Church’s Little Lambs Preschool this week, with a new teacher at the helm. The school year at 1022 Elm Street in St. Paul officially began on September 2nd.

Body The joint session of Ray Mapes Legion Unit 236 was called to order by Luke Thompson on August 19th at the Legion in Wolbach with eight Legion members, one Son, and four Auxiliary members attending. The invocation was given by the chaplain.

Body As of Friday morning, I was surprised. The South Loup River is up a bit from Sunday’s reading of 109 cubic-feet-per-second (cfs). It’s now 114 cfs. The Middle Loup River kept dropping last Sunday and was down to 431 cfs. The reading this morning is 590 cfs.

Hunters urged to be cautious around fire hazards

Body It takes just one spark to ignite a wildfire. With several harvest seasons opening September 1st, including dove, grouse and archery deer, hunters are reminded to act responsibly in the field and to do their part to prevent wildfires.

MOBILE FOOD PANTRY TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 13TH

Body The Howard-Greeley County Food Pantry and Foodbank for the Heartland will be sponsoring a Mobile Food Pantry on Saturday, September 13th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. or until all the food is gone, whichever is sooner.
