Mount Marty University in Yankton, South Dakota is pleased to announce its Spring 2022 Dean’s List Honorees. A Dean’s List Honoree at Mount Marty University is defined as a full-time undergraduate student completing a full-time load of graded course work with a minimum term grade point average of 3.5.

FRIES: Jeremy and Alana Fries of Seward are first-time parents of a son, Maverick John. He was born May 17, 2022 at Bryan Health in Lincoln. He weighed 8 lb., and 8 oz. and was 21 3/4 inches long. My family once had a dog that was the furthest thing from a hunting dog possible. While hunting was in this canine’s blood, there was apparently something even more dominant in her past that made her literally gun-shy.

The South Loup River on Monday morning had a discharge of 223 cubic feet per second, with a height of 2.50 feet. The Middle Loup River’s discharge was 1,430 cubic feet per second, with a height of 1.75 feet. The river is going up from the rains we recently received.

Central Community College and the University of Nebraska-Kearney have entered a unique residential housing partnership. Beginning in fall 2022, the CCC/UNK Residential Housing Program will allow CCC students studying at the Kearney Center to live in UNK’s Randall/ Mantor hall or Centennial Towers.
