Building Blocks of Fun

THE LEGO GUY, Curtis Mork, visited the St. Paul Library last Wednesday for a free program for community members. Mork’s presentation was put on in collaboration with the library’s summer reading program. During his presentation, Mr. Mork explained the history and origin of Lego, presented some of his creations, and led independent creation time, during which the kids had time to build themselves. For several years now, Mr. Mork has been coming to the St. Paul Library to give presentations. Above, Asher Knapp works on his creation last week. Fox Enters Hall of Fame

ST. PAUL resident Dan Fox was inducted into the Nebraska Eight-Man Coaches Association’s Eight-Man Football Hall of Fame on Saturday night during the Sertoma Eight-Man All-Star Game played at Adams Central High School in Hastings. Fox, who played in the 1989 eight-man all-star game, played for North Loup-Scotia from 1985 until 1988, helping the Wildcats to three playoff appearances. (Jordan Coslor)

H-G Food Pantry Receives Grant to Help Improve Services

The Howard-Greeley Food Pantry was surprised with a $1,528 grant courtesy of the Food Bank for the Heartland last Wednesday Wednesday afternoon. T h e funds, said Food Pantry Executive Director Sandi Mudloff, will go towards the equipment costs for the purchase of a desktop computer, printer, and a new filing cabinet— purchases the local food pantry has been seeking to make for the past few years.

WSC Releases Dean’s List

Wayne State College included 1,190 students on the dean’s list for exemplary academic achievement during the spring 2022 semester. Students listed on the dean’s list are full-time undergraduate students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester. An asterisk (*) denotes a 4.0 GPA for the term.
