Commissioners select firm for county yards project

During the Howard County Board of Commissioners’ second semimonthly regular meeting for the month of October last Tuesday, the board appointed Grand-Island-based firm Spotanski Creative Building Design & Drafting, LLC (SCBDD) as the architect and engineer for their county yards project, which will see a new, eighty-by-two-hundred-foot roads building constructed on about five acres of land at the Howard County Fairgrounds. The county had purchased the land from the Howard County Agricultural Society in mid-June for $50,000.

MEMBERS of the Hake family—Sutton, Lennon, and their mom, Whitney—and Royce Meyer pick up some goodies outside of Eagle Eye Antiques in St. Paul on Saturday morning. Over two hundred people participated in Howard County Medical Center’s Jack O’ Lantern Jog last week.
