At their Tuesday, November 16th regular meeting, members of the Howard County Board of Commissioners intimated that they would look into the possibility of closing the Howard County Courthouse to the public up to thirty minutes before the official end of the workday at 5:00 p.m.

All completed Christmas Cheer applications must be returned to the St. Paul United Methodist Church by Friday, November 17, 2023. These applications are available at the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce office, St. Paul United Methodist Church, or Citizens Bank. Distribution day will be on Friday, December 22nd from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Methodist church. If you have questions, please contact the church office at (308) 754-4247. No late applications will be accepted.

The Howard-Greeley County Food Pantry will be giving Thanksgiving food boxes out to their clients on Saturday, November 18th from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Clients must come into the pantry and fill out the paperwork, and they must meet the eligibility guidelines. Thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate my 100th birthday! The best birthday gift is being reminded of what wonderful friends and family I have. You all know how to make me feel so special and loved. I appreciate all the cards, gifts, and well wishes sent my way. My love and special thanks to my girls for putting together the open house.
