As the year approaches its end, Howard County is finishing up a longstanding project and in the preliminary stages of some new ones. During the Howard County Commissioners’ second regular meeting of the month of November last Tuesday, the commissioners met with Jerry Berggren, principal architect of Berggren Architects, about concerns regarding a change order for the courthouse steps project, accepted a quote for the refurbishment of the county’s Little Sherman tower, and accepted plans for the new county yards at the Howard County Fairgrounds.

Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Parkside Plaza Community Room in St. Paul, for the chapter’s annual cociety birthday party. Twelve members gathered for the 11:00 a.m. meeting. Vice President Jackie Mason called the meeting to order with recitation of the Collect and singing of the DKG song. Minutes for the October meeting were read and approved as corrected. The treasurer’s report was read by Mason in the absence of Dianne Vorderstrasse.
