308.968.3348 Last Monday afternoon, Dave and Barbara Tuma were brief visitors of Rob and Sandy Rucilez in Kearney. They also stopped in Ravenna to briefly visit Denise Kucera and children.

WAYNE STATE COLLEGE Wayne State College included 1,312 students on it’s dean’s list for exemplary academic achievement during the fall 2023 semester. Students listed on the dean’s list are full-time undergraduate students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

February brings the NSAA State High School bowling, wrestling, and swimming and diving championships to Nebraska Public Media. The top high school male and female bowlers in Nebraska vie for state championship medals starting at 8:00 a.m.

As of Sunday, the river flow still listed “ice,” so no flow readings this week, although we have a nice flow of water going past our place. What a week, with all the fog, then came Saturday, and the sun was shining bright. We were able to watch the large Canadian geese fly in the deep blue sky. What a sight! The deer are starting to lose their antlers. I wonder if the stress of the cold temperatures was a factor.
