Sunday morning, the South Loup was consistent with the last couple of weeks, running 220 cubic-feet-per-second (cfs). The Middle Loup River dropped a little, to 1,230 cfs this week, compared to 1,380 cfs last week. The North Loup River is up, reading 986 cfs, compared to 909 cfs last Sunday. We have a few more ducks on the pond along with the geese, who appear to be making nests. I don’t know about you, but I can’t help but smile when I hear a pair of mallards fly by quacking that famous sound. My crocuses are blooming. Tulips, sedum, iris, and corn lilies are all growing, along with some noxious weeds.
