The Wolbach American Legion Family met at the Legion on March 17th. There were four Legion members, two dual members, three sons, and three auxiliary members present.

As of Sunday afternoon, although the rivers have fluctuated some, the flow readings remain the same or almost the same as last week for the South Loup, Middle Loup, and North Loup Rivers. Now that I see a lot of bucks on the cameras, I have noticed a couple missing antlers. The Sandhill cranes are on the move north, as we hear them fly by. We have had a few more ducks on the pond, but I have a feeling they will fly north also soon, if they haven’t already. I had a fox on our camera. I looked up foxes in Nebraska. In the western part of the state, you can find Swift Fox maybe, because they are an endangered species. The Red Fox, I am sure, was on our camera. The Red Fox has a white-tip tail, black legs and ears, and a long, pointed muzzle. They hunt small rodents, birds, and rabbits along with fruits, nuts, and vegetables. They are the largest true fox and found in several continents. Their lifespan is three to six years.

Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested thirteen impaired drivers as part of an enforcement effort around St. Patrick’s Day.
