The St. Paul Wildcat golf team is entering its spring campaign in a position that most programs could only dream of.

Last spring, in only their second year of the sport, the St. Paul tennis team made history when the Wildcats’ top doubles teams recorded victories at state.

TThe Wahoo Warriors have sat firmly on top of the Class C-1 rankings nearly all season long, and last Tuesday, the Wildcats got a first-hand introduction as to why. Last week, on the court at Wahoo High School, the Warriors towered over the Wildcats in every way possible, with the top-rated team capitalizing on its height, speed, and sharpshooting to slog St.

It had been a dozen years since the last time the Centura girls’ basketball team had took the court in a state tournament game, and it had been over twenty since the team had last notched a victory in the capital city.

Last Wednesday, on the court at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, the Centurions did both.

Heading into last Thursday night’s Class C-1 Subdistrict 10 Tournament finale, the St. Paul Wildcats knew that there was a lot on the line.
