County board discusses cemetery care

Body
The Howard County Board of Commissioners met for its first regular meeting of the new year last Tuesday, January 14th. The bulk of the meeting focused on reorganization for 2025—with members of the board appointing nonelected officials, board seats, financial institutions, and providers for fuel and gravel—but several non-reorganization items were also on the agenda. Among such items, the Howard County board discussed the maintenance of cemeteries around the county, funding for a new vehicle for the Howard County Sheriff’s Office, and entered executive session for two items: personnel, concerning the county attorney; and employee evaluations.
