An Omaha man with dementia who went missing on Thursday evening was returned to his family’s care the on Friday thanks to the efforts of area residents, particularly Roger Lukasiewicz and Steve Schenck.

Well, it’s that time of the year, and with the temperatures being so cold, all the river cubic-feet-per-second (cfs) readings are listed as ICE. No readings this week for the South, Middle, or North Loup rivers. The geese are back again in the pond and pasture. The game camera pictures with the snow in the background make the deer and bobcat even more outstanding than usual. We had a family of trumpeter swans on our pond Sunday around noon, the parents and three youngsters. They are such a sight.
