The Centura volleyball team snapped a three-game skid on Saturday, with the Burgundy and Grey winning their first match at the Adams Central Invitational. In rural Hastings, the Centurions played a trio of matches, with Centura sweeping Gering in the first game of the event, before losing to the host Patriots and, later, Superior.

The St. Paul Wildcats found themselves in a tough situation on Friday night, yet despite Mother Nature stymying the team’s gameplan, a game-changing injury, and competing against one of Class C-1’s top teams, the Blue and Gold still found a way to stay competitive in the game.

In a last minute tuneup for the Elkhorn Valley Tournament, the St. Paul Wildcats’ volleyball team traveled to Hastings for a battle with Adams Central (13-3) last Tuesday.

St. Paul’s nine-match winning streak came to an end during last week’s Gothenburg Harvest Festival Tournament, with the Wildcats battling some of Class C-1’s top teams while in Dawson County.

The St. Paul Wildcats leaned on their defense through all four quarters of last week’s game against Columbus Lakeview.

The St. Paul Wildcats sought out some new scenery last week, and with a different course came a completely new caliber of competition.
