Wildcats Win Eighth Consecutive Conference Tournament Title

There may have been a hiccup or two along the way, but Thursday night the St. Paul volleyball team brought the perfect amount of energy to the Bison Activity Dome, and the Wildcats were able to convert that energy into the program’s eighth consecutive LouPlatte Conference Tournament title.

On the court at Central City High School, St. Paul used an aggressive attack to top the twenty-win Wood River Eagles 25-16, 22-25, 25-17, 25-19.

Tough competition greets Wildcats at district meet

The St. Paul Wildcats were aiming to at least get a player or two qualified for this year’s NSAA Class C State Girls Golf Tournament. However, their hopes of a state berth were put on pause last week, as the district meet was postponed due to the threat of severe weather in the area on Tuesday.

Bluejays continue to improve

The Elba Bluejays volleyball team saw plenty of competition last week, with the Purple and Gold playing in six matches in the span of just five days. Last Tuesday, the Bluejays competed at the Central Valley triangular, where they battled the host Cougars and the Coyotes from Anselmo- Merna.
