CENTURA SPLITS MATCHES AT MINDEN The Centura volleyball team may not have picked the right time to go toe-to-toe with the Minden Whippets. Last week, Centura joined Sandy Creek for a triangular on the Whippets’ home court, with the Centurions and the Cougars facing off with Minden just two days after the 25-0 Whippets won a five-set thriller over top-rated Lincoln Lutheran.

There was a shakeup at the top of the Class D-2 rankings this week, but even a reshuffling of teams didn’t phase the Central Valley Cougars. Central Valley, who remains at the top of the class’s leaderboard, held firm on Friday night and secured their fifth win of the season after they shot past Twin Loup 58-13.
