Central Valley stuns Riverside, tops Chargers 52-12 for first-ever state title For the first time in program history, the Central Valley Cougars are state football champions. During Monday’s NSAA Class D-2 Football State Championship game at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, the Cougars tallied 289 total yards, forced five turnovers, and turned a commanding 46-6 halftime lead into a 52-12 victory over area rival Riverside.
