Mobile food pantry to be held in St. Paul on Saturday

The Howard-Greeley County Food Pantry and Foodbank for the Heartland will be sponsoring a Mobile Food Pantry in St. Paul on Saturday, March 8th, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. or until all the food is gone, whichever is sooner. Income guidelines must be met, and paperwork will be required. Families from any county may be served. A wide variety of fresh foods, as well as canned goods, will be available to choose from.

Road work to impact travel in county this summer

The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) is expected to undertake two projects with an overlapping timeframe this year. The department is expected to tackle road work on about 11.98 miles of Nebraska Highway 11 between about Midway corner and Centura Public Schools and to undertake road repair work on the bridge on United States Route 281 south of St. Paul, with both projects to begin in April or May.

Taken from the files of The Wolbach Messenger Ten Years Ago, 2015 Central Valley FFA members participated in Career Development Events, which were held on Monday, February 16th, at Central Community College in Grand Island. Four teams placed high enough to qualify for the state competition in Lincoln in April, but only three will actually advance…The first-place Ag Mechanics team members and their individual placings were Cade Grossart (18th), Logan Step (9th), Weston Poss (17th), and Clay Stepp (94th).
