Days gone by

It was as real as they could make it without it being the real thing. That is what the forty-four fire and EMS personnel found when they responded to a mock tornado drill in St. Paul on Saturday morning. They converged on the Howard County Courthouse, which took a direct hit in the tornado. What they found were twenty-three victims with various injuries. It was their job to rescue the victims from the rubble, set up a triage area to assess their injuries, provide on-scene medical care, then transport the injured to the Howard County Medical Center, where they were treated.
