Pantry seeing an uptick in donations, need

As the holidays approach, the Howard Greeley County Food Pantry is seeing a notable uptick in both demand and donations. Food Pantry Director Sandi Mudloff said on Monday that the current uncertainty surrounding Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits has contributed to increased local need, and also elicited a strong community response.

St. Paul will take a 27-6 record into the District Volleyball Tournament finals Thursday night…On Monday night, St. Paul defeated Central City 25-9, 25-15, 25-14, then swept Grand Island Central Catholic 25-21, 25-21, 25-20 in the Sub-District finals, which were played in Grand Island.

Christmas Cheer application deadlines are approaching

Christmas Cheer Applications for this year’s program must be returned to the St. Paul United Methodist Church by Thursday, November 13th. Forms are available at the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce office, St. Paul United Methodist Church, and Citizens Bank and Trust Co. An online application can also be found on the chamber’s Facebook page.
