THE DANNEBROG American Legion Post 241 hosted a children’s Christmas party for thirty youngsters and their parents last Saturday. Festivities included Christmas treats, bingo games, and an ugly sweater contest. A special surprise for the children was a visit with Santa Claus. Last Wednesday, December 14th, Officer Jade Stethem joined forty- four of his peers in the 212th Basic Academy class in reciting the Oath of Honor as he graduated from basic training from the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center (NLETC) in Grand Island.

Christmas is a time of giving, and in that spirit student’s at Centura Public Schools are once again hoping to brighten up the holidays for area children through the district’s tenth annual Toys for Tots drive.
