Thank You Card

Body
Thank you so very much to everyone who sent cards and best wishes for my retirement. I worked with many amazing people during my forty-five years with HHS. A special thank you to my husband, Dan, who allowed me to make HHS my life for so many years. Feeling very blessed and loved. Sincerely, Kay Schenk ——————————

Thank You Card

Body
Thank you everyone for making my retirement party so wonderful. Thanks for giving me the chance to thank each one of you in person for all the years of sharing the Sweet Shoppe with you and our families. Words can not express my gratitude. My heart is overflowing with love and appreciation. The cards and gifts are overwhelming— and jelly jars! Thank you for everything.

Remember When

Body
Ten Years Ago, 2013 The four-plex apartment building will be undergoing a wide range of improvements thanks to a $126,795 grant received by the village, which manages the facility. The grant, which did not carry a need of matching funds, will cover energy efficient furnaces, central air, windows, exterior doors, painting, bathroom fixtures, siding, sidewalks, some carpet replacement, drop ceilings, and sheeting to sound-proof the units. The four-plex was constructed in the late 1960s when twenty individuals went together to obtain financing through the Farmers Home Administration. A number of years ago, the village board refinanced locally, and the units will be debt-free in the very near future.
