The thirty-second annual Grover Cleveland Alexander (GCA) Days celebration, themed “Memories Through the Decades” this year, is just over a week away. Running from July 7th through July 9th, the 2023 festival, said GCA Days Committee Co-Chair Brandon Nowak last Thursday, is looking to be a streamlined affair.

Make-A-Wish full of memories for Hakes

This May, just under one year after having been diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder, a young Palmer boy got the chance to have his wish come true. Last month, Sutton Hake and his whole family received an all-expenses paid vacation to Walt Disney World courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to fulfilling the wishes of children who have been diagnosed with critical illness.

Country Quilters Hold June Meeting

The St. Paul Country Quilters met on June 19th at the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Life Center in the quilting room. Seven members were present. Marlynn Schmaljohn called the meeting to order. The treasurer’s report and minutes from the May 15th meeting were given.
