I would like to express my gratitude to the American Legion Auxiliary for selecting me to attend Cornhusker Girls State in Lincoln from June 2nd until June 8th. I consider it a privilege to have become a part of the tradition of young women chosen for this opportunity to develop leadership skills and discover the wonders of our unique state government. The week-long experience reinforced my appreciation for the American Legion Auxiliary, the programs the group supports, and my citizenship, while allowing me to develop many meaningful friendships!
