Early voting underway in county

The November General Election is less than a month away, and voters in Howard County have already started casting their ballots. On Monday, the first day that early in-person voting was allowed at county election offices in the Cornhusker State, Howard County Clerk Brenda Klanecky said that so far her office had been busy with numerous election related inquiries.

St. Paul students return to mural competition

On Wednesday, October 2nd, for the first time in three years, six St. Paul High School students—Tristan Thomas, Kheegenn Behrens, Annie Mc-Clay, Samantha Caudill, Brecken Kavan, and Joel Shafer—made their way to Hastings College in Hastings to take part in the annual Jackson Dinsdale Art Center Mural Competition. There, the five seniors and one junior joined more than 200 participants from thirty-five high schools at the ninth iteration of the annual competition.

COUGARS CROWN ROYALTY

CENTRAL VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL crowned its 2024 Homecoming royalty on Friday night following the Cougars’ football game against Twin Loup in Wolbach. Members of this year’s court include (back row) Princess Callie Wadas, Prince Taesian Soto, King Grady Kelly, and Queen Emma Corman. The kindergarten attendants were River Stromp, Blair Essman, Macey Pelster, and Maverick Strickland.
