One act season is in full swing in central Nebraska, and Centura High School’s one-act troupe—which qualified for state in Class C-1 in 2023—is once again on track for a standout year. This year, the thirty- four-member Centura Drama Department is staging a production of It Happened on Route 66, a comedy by Todd Wallinger.

MEMBERS of the St. Paul High School Choir performed during last week’s Veterans Day ceremony at St. Paul Public Schools. The students sang both the “Star-Spangled Banner” and “Stand with the Brave” during the morning program.

Having secured 312 electoral votes and 74,838,169 total votes (50.40 percent) in last Tuesday’s nationwide general election, according to unofficial numbers on Monday, and winning not only the nomination but also the popular vote, President Elect Donald Trump, who previously served as the nation’s forty-fifth president, will be inaugurated in 2025 as its forty-seventh. The president elect’s Democratic challenger, Vice President Kamala Harris, won 226 electoral votes and 71,247,129 total votes (48.00 percent).
