When asked to think of symbols of love and romance, the rose is, for most, likely among the first image to be conjured. Since time immemorial flowers in general and roses in particular have been symbols of affection and tenderness. At Teresa’s Floral Design & Gifts in St. Paul, owner and florist Teresa Martinsen has spent the last few decades bringing these symbols of love to customers across the county, and beyond.

Taken from the files of The Wolbach Messenger Ten Years Ago, 2015 Wolbach native Joe Killinger, a 1982 graduate of Wolbach High School, will be honored by the Los Angeles City Council for the innovative housing/educational program he founded. Killinger’s program was featured in an article in the Los Angeles Times in which he credits the experience in his hometown as the basis for the program.
