Centurions Close Out Season Opposite Patriots on Saturday

After sweeping past Doniphan-Trumbull in the opening round of last week’s Subdistrict C2-9 Tournament, the Centura volleyball team had a chance to see another one of the top teams in Class C-2 when the Centurions faced off against the twenty- five-win Broncos from Amherst.

Wildcats’ Upset Bid Falls Short

After participating in the toughest volleyball sub-district in the state of Nebraska, the St. Paul volleyball team earned a wildcard and the twelfth seed into the district final round, played on Saturday at the site of the higher seeded team.

CLARA KUNZE navigated the Clippers’ block for a kill on Saturday afternoon. Kunze had fifteen kills in the five-set match, which ended with Malcolm earning the 3-2 victory. (Michael Happ)

Bluejays Can’t Keep Pace with Spartans

Following a nine-win regular season, the Elba Bluejays were hoping that they would have a chance to make some noise in the postseason this fall.

Boone Central Blanks St. Paul in Regular Season Finale

The St. Paul Wildcats didn’t get any respite from their grueling schedule last week, as the Blue and Gold made the trek to Albion to face off with the fifthranked Cardinals for their regular season finale.

St. Paul Wins Two on Special Night

The St. Paul volleyball team and a hometown crowd gave the team’s five seniors a proper sendoff on Thursday as the Wildcats defeated two LouPlatte Conference opponents to wrap up a home-heavy regular season.

Cougars Drub Cardinals in Opening Round

State championship aspirations are still alive at Central Valley High School after the Cougars' 52-6 drubbing of O'Neill St. Mary’s in the opening round of the NSAA State Class D-2 State Football Playoffs last Thursday in Wolbach.

Centurions Complete Season at District Cross Country

After not qualifying a runner for the NSAA State Cross Country Championships last year, this fall, the Centurions were hoping that the Burgundy and Gray would be represented on the state course at the Kearney Country Club this week.

Wildcats Win Seventh Straight Title

For the seventh time in as many seasons, the St. Paul volleyball team took home the LouPlatte Conference Tournament championship trophy. Also, for the seventh straight time, the Wildcats won the title in a 3-0 sweep.
