Despite posting their second highest point total of the season, the St. Paul Wildcats (24) struggled to contain the red-hot shooting of O’Neill (1-6) and fell 6255 in the opening round of the Eagles’ Holiday Tournament last Wednesday evening.

Just minutes into the Wildcats’ first game of the O’Neill Holiday Tournament, St. Paul was regretting not bringing an umbrella.

Carrying a combined record 0-11 into game, the Palmer Tigers and Elba Bluejays boys’ basketball teams were both eager to notch their first win of the season in last Friday’s consolation round of the Elba Holiday Tournament. Despite a strong start from the visiting Tigers, Elba clawed their way back in the second half to claim a 35-30 victory, improving their mid-season record to 1-5.

After a late scoring surge from Twin Loup resulted in a first round loss for the Elba Bluejays in last week’s Elba Holiday Tournament, the Purple and Gold were looking to end 2022 on a high note when they hosted Palmer on their home court for the tournament’s consolation game on Friday.
