Body J.I.L. ASPHALT PAVING COMPANY INCORPORATED of Grand Island began asphalting Central Valley Public Schools’ new track in Greeley on Wednesday, July 10th. The first pass of asphalt was three inches thick and was completed last week.

ST. PAUL HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1984

Body THIRTY-THREE MEMBERS the St. Paul High School Class of 1984 gathered in St. Paul on Friday, July 12th for the class’s fortieth class reunion. Seventy-six members graduated with the Class of 1984, of which nine are deceased.

Body In reviewing the river levels on Sunday, the South Loup, Middle Loup, and North Loup rivers peaked during the first part of last week. The South Loup River is at 235 cfs and the Middle Loup River is at 968 cfs, both above normal by about a third.

Body THE ST. PAUL HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1966 met for a “mini-reunion” on July 12th at St. Paul Country Club. There were twenty-seven classmates present, of the sixty that graduated together.

Commissioners approve purchase of new police dog

Body At the regular meeting of the Howard County Board of Commissioners last Tuesday, July 9th, the county’s roads, the proposed new roads department building at the county fairgrounds, and a new police dog for the Howard County Sheriff’s Office had been the main items of discussion.
