In the span of a couple hours, more than four inches of rain fell throughout portions of Howard County in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 30th, flooding farmland and causing water to overtake roads, particularly in the western portion of the county near the Sherman County line and in the vicinities of Farwell and Elba.

The Wolbach Senior Citizen met on May 29th at the Wolbach Community Center with three tables of pitch being played. Delvin Teter won high, Dona Ondracek low, and Paul Nielsen traveling. The group will meet again on June 26th at 2:00 p.m. at the Wolbach Community Center.
