The Centura girls’ golf team didn’t have the biggest squad at last week’s LouPlatte Conference Golf Tournament, but the Burgundy and Grey still put plenty of talent on the course. Friday morning, Centura hosted the rest of the LouPlatte Conference field on their home course for this year’s conference meet.

An unfamiliar field of competition, and warm weather did little to slow down the St. Paul Wildcats last Friday when the Blue and Gold competed at the Tom Dickey Invitational.

The St. Paul softball team had a busy week on the diamond, with the Wildcats playing Hastings St. Cecilia and Twin River in weeknight games and then competing against three other teams at the Central City Invite on Saturday.

Amid Junk Jaunt weekend, Ord had spent several days being kind and welcoming to visitors. However, on Friday night, on the gridiron, the Chanticleers didn’t give their guests an inch.

The Centura boys’ cross country team faced one of its biggest tests of the season last week, both in terms of topography and competition. Last Thursday, the Centurions joined twenty- four other teams in the field at the Ravenna Cross Country Invitational.

Both Centura and St. Paul were state-rated and riding win streaks last week when the two teams met up at Centura High School for a cross-county regular season clash.

For the second time this season, St. Paul has had a chance to pick up a victory on their home field, and for the second time, that illusive first win slipped through the Wildcats’ fingers at the last second.
