| THANK YOU |

Body
We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Palmer Rescue Squad in their quick response and efforts given to Dad. Your dedication to the Palmer community is amazing. We are so grateful to Dr. Hahn and the staff at Howard County Medical Center for the compassionate care you always showed Dad while being a patient. The warmth and gentleness towards us while saying goodbye to him made the process a little less painful.

Comm. center may take over dispatch for Nance County

Body
At its regular meeting last Tuesday, the Howard County Board of Commissioners agreed to proceed with a plan to move Nance County dispatch operations into the Howard County Communications Center next fiscal year. The merger, which Commissioner Jessie Urbanski said would take a “big bite” out of the county budget in the short term but was expected to “pay off” in years to come, was approved 2–0 by the county board. Howard County Chairman Kathy Hirschman had left the meeting prior to the vote on the item.
