Body Beck’s Tree Service, a local tree removal business that has operated in central Nebraska for the past fifteen years, took on a new name and new ownership this week, while continuing to offer the same services—complete tree removal, trimming, stump grinding, and also snow removal.

Major Award from Miller Fund to Aid SPPS Art Department

Body The Chester D. and Elda F. Miller Fund recently approved recipients of its 2023 grant and scholarship awards, naming among their grant beneficiaries all three Howard County schools and the St. Paul Community Library. Twenty-seven scholarships were approved to area students.

Threat Prompts an Abundance of Caution by SPPS

Body Recent inquiries concerning a threat two weeks ago, which leaders with St. Paul Public Schools (SPPS) had deemed not to be credible, prompted St. Paul Public Schools Superintendent Adam Patrick to release a statement on the issue late last Wednesday.
