The University of Nebraska Medical Center has announced its spring 2023 dean’s list for students enrolled in nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, and the allied health professions. To qualify for the dean’s list, nursing and the allied health students must be enrolled for twelve or more hours during the semester and have a grade point average of 3.75 or above.

Chadron State College

Chadron State College has announced the names of students who qualified for the institution’s spring 2023 academic honors lists. The President’s List contains students with a 4.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. To qualify, students must have completed forty-five credit hours, be enrolled in twelve credit hours of coursework, be seeking their first bachelor’s degree, and have no incomplete grades during the semester. Students who qualified to the President’s List include Alexis Kramer and Grant Turek, both of St. Paul.

ELBA COMMUNITY AWARD

IN HONOR OF THEIR WORK to support the Village of Elba and Elba Public Schools, Gary and Charlotte Rasmussen were awarded the Elba Community Award by the Elba Community Foundation during the Elba Fireworks Show’s hamburger feed on July 4th. Julia Kleinsasser won people’s choice for the fireworks donation bucket decoration contest.

THE ST. PAUL HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1983 gathered for their fortieth class reunion at the St. Paul Country Club during GCA Days. Members of the class in attendance included Janet Rasmussen, Cindy (Grundzinski) Olsen, Richard Klanecky, Marcia (Olsen) Bolling, Tom Kasson, Liana (Rose) Wroblewski, Dennis Placke, Sheila (Morse) Studley, Mark Koperski, Shirley (Wissing) Schultz, Bryan Meyer, Lisa (Jorgensen) Jerabek, Dave Meyer, Lonnie Kowalski, Shane Nowak, Gary Ewers, Don Gillham, Daron Mamot, Dale Skeen, and Tim Jarecke. Those not pictured included Kay (Nielsen) Wichmann and Tim Pawloski.
