A late-March snowstorm wreaked havoc on energy infrastructure throughout the state early last week, as freezing rain and high winds caused power lines to sway and, in some cases, break. In Greeley County and northern Howard County, more than 1,249 meters were left without power in the morning hours of Monday, March 25th, with many residents throughout the area suffering sporadic blackouts well into Tuesday.

The St. Paul Country Quilters met on Monday, March 19th in the quilting room of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Parish Life Center. President Betty VanDyke called the meeting to order. Seven members and one guest were present. VanDyke began the meeting with a quilters’ prayer. Roll call was “What was the most meaningful quilt you have made?”
