After running in the hills of Howard and Buffalo counties to start off the season, the St. Paul Wildcats had the opportunity to stretch out last week, as the Blue and Gold competed at both the Centura and Broken Bow invites.

They may have been familiar with their home course, but last week, the Centura cross country team was far from familiar with the caliber of competition that showed up for the race. Last Tuesday, the Centurions hosted their home invite at Centura Hills Golf Club north of Cairo.

After suffering their first two losses of the season last week, the St. Paul softball team responded with four consecutive wins, beating Ord and Centennial on Tuesday and Thursday, then notching wins over Hershey and Ord in Saturday’s Cozad Invitational. The final game of that invite was in rain delay until Wednesday.

As it has every season since 2006, the St. Paul volleyball team defeated Ravenna and Arcadia/ Loup City in a triangular played at Ravenna on Tuesday, September 5th.

The St. Paul Wildcats lined up in victory formation Friday night, but victory was far from their grasps.

There wasn’t much time for rest for the Centura girls’ volleyball team last week, as the Centurions competed in three matches in the span of just as many days. Last Tuesday, the Centurions traveled to Loup City, where they faced off against Doniphan-Trumbull and the host Rebels.
