As of Sunday afternoon, the rivers are lower than last week. Not a surprise due to less rain this past week. The South Loup River is at 175 cubic-feet-per-second (cfs), where last week’s reading was 194 cfs. The Middle Loup is reading 733 cfs today, which is the largest drop of the three rivers, as last Sunday it was at 804 cfs. The North Loup River, as of Sunday afternoon, is 984 cfs, compared to 1,040 cfs last week. We went out fishing Sunday morning. What a beautiful morning: cool, cloudy, and enough breeze to keep the bugs away. We kept a couple of fish; most were thrown back, as they were too small.
