St. Paul graduate Herb Lind, son of Vance Lind, is one of the soldiers featured in the National Geographic Channel’s documentary, “Brothers in War.” Lind was the captain of Charlie Company, 4th Battalion, 47th Infantr, 9th infantry Division and served in Vietnam from January of 1967 until January of 1968.

Sunday morning, we woke up to a little rain. It makes the air smell fresh. I checked the flows of the rivers. The South Loup River was running very consistently, with the same flow as last week, at 232 cfs, and the Middle Loup River was down again by 340 cfs, flowing at 1,340 cfs.

Members of the St. Paul Volunteer Fire Department are typically racing to be the first on scene.
