MEMORIALS

Body Memorials were made to the Wolbach Cemetery, the Wolbach Fire Department and Rescue Squad, and the Wolbach Splash Pad Fund in memory of Rosanne Christensen. The memorial to the cemetery was made by family members and friends.

WOLBACH SENIOR CITIZENS MEET

Body The Wolbach Senior Citizens met on October 30th with eleven seniors gathering to play cards. Paul Nielsen won high, Joyce Berney low, and Katherine Dubas traveling.

TOWN & COUNTRY CLUB MEETS

Body The Town and Country Club met on October 17th at the home of Joyce Berney with four members present. The games of golf and seven were played.

Wolbach residents head to the polls

Body THE 2024 GENERAL ELECTION brought out an array of voters from the Wolbach area, with a number of voters filling the voting booths at the Wolbach Community Center as soon as the polls opened at 8:00 a.m.

Body As of Sunday morning, the South Loup River was at 154 cubic feet per second (CFS) up just a little from last week. The Middle Loup River was at 1,450 cfs, down just a bit. The North Loup River went down, with a reading of 778 cfs, compared to 722 cfs last week.

St. Paul resident recognized for excellence in education

Body St. Paul resident Brenda Thompson, who teaches fourth grade (as well as third-grade science), at Palmer Public Schools (PPS), was recently recognized as a recipient of the 2025 National Education Association (NEA) Foundation Travelers Award for Teaching Excellence.

Body served up hot dogs on Thursday night during the Boo Bash at St. Paul Public Schools. The department served over 450 hot dogs during the event. Above, Shirley Brown and Gina Haggerty help work the serving line.
