THE ST. PAUL AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE held its Christmas with a Jingle event over the weekend in downtown St. Paul. The celebration featured a variety of activities, the schedule for which was headlined by a visit from Santa Claus on Saturday morning. Above, Santa and Mrs. Claus pose for photos with a special visitor during Saturday’s event. Below left, kids of all ages enjoyed the kids’ rides set up on Sixth Street. Below right, a variety of decorated vehicles made their way through Saturday night’s Christmas Light Parade.

TeamMates chief makes stop in St. Paul

DeMoine Adams, the chief executive officer (CEO) of TeamMates Mentoring and a former Husker Blackshirt, stopped by St. Paul Public Schools last week to visit the local Team-Mates chapter. As part of Donuts with DeMoine, Adams and several local TeamMates mentors and mentees congregated in Superintendent Adam Patrick’s office before school last week to talk about their experiences in the program.

The Central Valley School Board continued the process of determining what to do with the abandoned buildings and properties at the Wolbach and North Loup sites at its regular meeting Monday night. The primary discussion about building demolition centered on the older three-story school buildings in each town.

Sunday morning, the North Loup River had the most change in water flow. It was up to 897 cubic-feet-per-second (cfs) from 733 cfs last Sunday. The South Loup River was at 173 cfs, and the Middle Loup River was reading 1,310 cfs.
