While neither the St. Paul Wildcats nor the Centura Centurions have stitched together winning seasons, both teams’ records thus far had been of little concern last Tuesday night, when the Wildcats traveled to rural Cairo to face off with the Centurions in the two teams’ annual cross-county rivalry game.

The Gibbon girls’ basketball team may be attempting to claw their way out from the bottom of the LouPlatte Conference field this season; yet, on Friday night, the Class D-1 No. 3 Centurions didn’t approach their game against the winless Buffaloes any differently than they would any other Friday night foe.
