Centurions secure second-place finishes

Body Caden Ruhl came home from last Thursday’s Ron Priebe Invite at Gibbon with a cache of hardware, including one of the Centurions’ few gold medals. On the track at Gibbon High School, Ruhl paced the field in the boys’ 300-meter hurdles, with the senior tackling the timbers in 44.

Body Seven St. Paul students were recently named to the 2024 LouPlatte Conference Academic All-Conference Team. In order to be named to the conference’s all-academic team, a student must achieve an ACT score of 26 or higher.

Bats get Cats out of mid-season slump

Body After suffering consecutive losses to state-rated opponents and falling to 1-5 on the season, the St. Paul/Palmer Cats got back on track last week with back-to-back wins over Bancroft- Rosalie/Pender and Twin River.

St. Paul gets back on the court

Body Wildcats compete at Holdrege, Adams Central last week The St. Paul girls’ tennis team has struggled to get on the court this spring for competition, with Mother Nature making last week’s dual in Holdrege just the team’s second outing of the season.

Centurions compete in stunted field at Ravenna

Body A six-team field provided the Centura boys’ and girls’ track teams with multiple chances to rake in hardware last Thursday, and the Burgundy and Grey made the most of the opportunity. Last week, the Centurions battled the wind and five other teams at the Ravenna Invitational.
