The Wolbach Cemetery received a $20 donation in memory of Jack McIntyre from Carl and Dona Ondracek, a memorial was also received in memory of Jack McIntyre from friends and family, and a $50 donation in memory of Jack McIntyre from Jane McIntyre. The Wolbach Cemetery also received a donation from Larry and Bonnie Zoucha.

American Legion Auxiliary 119 Meets

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 119 met on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the new St. Paul Legion Club with six officers and two members present. President Char Schmid called the meeting to order. Dianne Bennett read an opening prayer. Schmid led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Preamble to the Constitution. Secretary Barb Sack took roll call and read the minutes from the May meeting. The minutes were corrected. Treasurer Viola Koperski gave the treasurer’s report.

Blood Drive Coming to St. Paul June 20th

The St. Paul blood drive is quickly appraoching, and donors are needed to ensure the Red Cross can meet the need. The blood drive is scheduled for Monday, June 20th from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Civic Center. Summer is a critical time for the Red Cross, as many donors are out of school and donors are on vacation, but the need for blood is dire. We are asking all donors to please consider making an appointment. To make an appointment, please go to redcrossblood.org and use the sponsor keyword (st paul) to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins welcome in the afternoon.

FRIES: Jeremy and Alana Fries of Seward are first-time parents of a son, Maverick John. He was born May 17, 2022 at Bryan Health in Lincoln. He weighed 8 lb., and 8 oz. and was 21 3/4 inches long. Grandparents are Larry Pfiefer and the late Elaine Pfiefer of Marysville and Bill and Shelly Fries of Grand Island.
