Newspaper wins seven awards at convention

The Phonograph-Herald newspaper in St. Paul won seven awards during this year’s Nebraska Press Association Better Newspaper Contest. The results of the contest were announced during a special banquet on April 27th at the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in downtown Lincoln.

Entries for NRD’s photo contest due May 15th

The Lower Loup Natural Resources District (LLNRD) is accepting entries for its 2024 Photo Contest through May 15th. The intent of the contest is to inspire photographers of every level to visit the natural resource district’s recreation areas and to explore the district.

Mother Nature provided the perfect backdrop for six seniors to receive their diplomas from Elba High School on Saturday. Last week, the Elba High School Class of 2024 took the next step in their lives when they turned their tassels and officially made the transition from students to alumni during a special afternoon ceremony.
