The Howard Greeley Food Pantry’s summer Lunch Bunch program is once again in full swing at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Parish Life Center.

Another round of storms led to another round of flooding in Howard County over the weekend, and it could be months in some places before the damage is repaired. Last Friday, June 21st, a storm system passed through central Nebraska, with the storms dumping in excess of six inches of rain in some parts of Howard County, swamping county roads, swelling creeks and rivers, and leading to widespread flooding in some areas.

As part of a tour that will take him to more than sixty different libraries this summer, Adam White—“the Midwest’s busiest magician”— made a stop at the St. Paul Library last Tuesday. There, the Auburn-based sleight-ofhand magician performed a series of magic tricks, told more than a few jokes, and spoke about the importance of hard work and perseverance to an audience of 152 spectators—mostly kids, but also “about fifteen” teachers, parents, and grandparents—as part of the library’s Summer Reading program.
